Terms of Service
DRAFT SKELETON — NOT YET REVIEWED BY COUNSEL. The structure and the jurisdiction list below are a working starting point for your lawyer, not enforceable terms. Do not launch with real stakes until this has been replaced with reviewed text.
1. What Blipp is
Blipp is a precision-based prediction market settled in SOL on Solana. Participants stake on numerical forecasts of future outcomes. Rewards are determined by a scoring formula measuring how close a forecast was to the resolved value, when it was submitted, and how many times it was revised.
Blipp holds participant funds. When you deposit SOL you are sending it to a wallet Blipp controls, and your balance on Blipp is a record of what Blipp owes you — not SOL held in your name on the blockchain. Withdrawals are paid from that wallet. You are trusting Blipp to keep accurate records, to remain solvent, and to honour withdrawals.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher.
- You must not be located in, resident in, or accessing Blipp from a restricted jurisdiction (section 3).
- You must not appear on any sanctions list, including those maintained by OFAC, the UN, the EU, or the UK.
- You must not use a VPN, proxy, or any other method to disguise your location in order to access Blipp.
3. Restricted jurisdictions
Blipp markets are not available to persons located in the following jurisdictions. Access from these locations is blocked, and any attempt to circumvent that block is a breach of these terms.
This list may change without notice as regulations evolve.
4. Nature of the markets
Forecasts carry risk of total loss of the amount staked. Nothing on Blipp is investment advice. Blipp makes no representation that any market, price feed, or resolution source is accurate, complete, or fit for any purpose.
5. Privacy of forecasts
Forecasts are hidden from other participants until the pool closes, so nobody can copy or trade against your position. Blipp stores forecasts in its own database and can read them. Privacy here means privacy from other users, not from Blipp.
6. Resolution and disputes
Markets resolve from the oracle or data source named in each market. Where a market resolves from a source that cannot be read on-chain, a designated resolver publishes the value and a dispute window opens before payouts finalise. The dispute process will be specified here.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Manipulating an underlying market or data source to influence a resolution.
- Operating multiple accounts to distort pool composition or rewards.
- Exploiting a bug in the program or interface rather than reporting it.
- Using Blipp to launder funds or to move proceeds of crime.
8. No warranty, limitation of liability
To be drafted by counsel.
9. Governing law
To be drafted by counsel, once the operating entity and jurisdiction are settled.
